Sinners

The power that music brings.

Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

Dope Vampire film, but it’s more than a normal horror film. Not as scary as I was thinking. I like the idea of the power of music in the film, dig the detail of some musical genres played and mixed and not just one. Matching the setting. I must say that these type of movie settings are hard to watch, because of the time period and what it holds. This film pulled it off nicely, because those type of themes wasn’t the focus. The pacing was good, best to focus on the characters day in the life and what they’re trying to accomplish. Delroy Lindo’s character was the highlight of the movie, killed his role as Delta Slim. Micheal B Jordan killed it as two distinct twin brothers. Dope cast, Ryan Coogler directing is hitting legendary status. Always will be looking forward to his films. If I had one gripe, it’s a small one. The blood or gore seemed cherry soda at times. I don’t know if that was intentional for the look of the scenes or what. Other than that, great movie.
