Ryland Grace, a science teacher turned astronaut who wakes from a coma with amnesia on a spaceship, only to discover he is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission to save humanity from a stellar-eating microbe called Astrophage.
They’re those recent sci-fi films that takes the cake and brings you the best space exploration films. Movies such as Interstellar (2014), The Martian (2015), and Gravity (2013). This one is no exception, such a dope film visually. Taking everything you know about space exploration and betting all the lives of the entire world in the hands of a school teacher that only wants to teach instead of possibly save humanity. Ryan Gosling was dope in the role, but I’m not surprised from his previous work. I’m more intrigued by the story itself and the visual human story directors Phil Lord, Chris Miller brings to life. I highly recommend you see it in theaters.
